Accessibility Statement

We’re committed to easy access for everyone

Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH with it’s website www.ATZlive.com is committed to making our website as accessible as possible to everyone, including those with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor impairments. We're constantly working towards improving the accessibility of our website to ensure we provide equal access to all of our users.

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2

Wherever possible, the www.ATZlive.com site will adhere to level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2). These guidelines outline four main principles that state that sites should be:

  • Perceivable - Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive
  • Operable - User interface components and navigation must be operable
  • Understandable - Information and the operation of user interface must be understandable
  • Robust - Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies

Conformity status

The review of conformity with the accessibility requirements is based on a self-assessment carried out on March 19, 2025. Due to the current ongoing revision and review, the websites are only partially compliant with the requirements mentioned above.

We are currently working on optimizations in the following areas:

  1. Text sizes
  2. Contrasts
  3. Color adjustments
  4. Extension of the hover & focus states of all elements (navigations, buttons, links, teaser, boxes)
  5. Structuring of content
  6. Labels of various elements and images
  7. Link markups and hint texts
  8. Extension of various editorial modules
  9. General keyboard operability and focus sequences

What content is not accessible?

  1. Forms: At present, we are not yet able to provide forms in fully accessible form. Various texts are currently being converted into fillable and accessible forms.
  2. Archived video recordings of various conferences: The lecture videos are available without audio description and full text alternative.
  3. Files: Provided PDFs of the lecture downloads have not yet been checked for accessibility and provided in their delivered form. We will mark them all as “not accessible” in the future.
