10th International Engine Congress 2023
Meeting Place for the Powertrain and Sustainable Fuels Community
28-02-2023 – 01-03-2023 – Baden-Baden or via live stream
Meeting Place for the Powertrain and Sustainable Fuels Community
Not only battery-electric but also thermodynamic powertrains are imperative for the implementation of the mobility turnaround and the global reduction of CO2 emissions. Largely hybridised and powered by hydrogen and synthetic fuels from renewable sources, they make an important contribution both to the huge global fleet of over 1.3 billion vehicles and to new vehicles. The powertrains of new vehicle generations will also have to rely on this proven technology for decades to come in order to be able to meet the steadily increasing global mobility needs in a climate-friendly way. The International Engine Congress as a knowledge forum and industry meeting place for engine development addresses the entire system of engine technology: from energy generation to energy storage to energy conversion. With its unique concept, it brings together the current technological state of knowledge of the entire system of non-fossil fuels and internal combustion engines and their holistic evaluation with regard to climate protection. It is thus the central, practice-oriented platform for the exchange of knowledge and suitable systemic strategies for meeting the Paris and Glasgow climate targets.
The political target in Europe is to ban vehicles powered by internal combustion engines from 2035 in order to achieve zero emissions in the transportation sector stage by stage via the âFit for 55â package of measures. What remains unresolved in the ongoing debate is the necessary discussion between the political, scientific, and social stakeholders on the integration of electrofuels and therefore on a sector-linked assessment in the final legislation.
But with this approach, is Europe now isolating itself from the technology-neutral solutions of the leading economies in the competition between science, industry, and value chains? Effective climate change not only needs speed and competition between innovative technologies, but also requires economic considerations that are equally important.
At the 10th International Engine Congress, we bring together the current state of comprehensive scientific and technological knowledge in the overall system of non-fossil fuels and the potential of the combustion engine.
Stay abreast of current trends and benefit from a lead in knowledge!

Program in Detail Speakers Advisory Board
The streaming package includes all keynote, impulse, and plenary presentations as well as the panel discussion and all presentations of the parallel sessions âpassenger car engine technologyâ, âcommercial vehicle engine technologyâ and âsustainable fuels & energyâ.
The digital event platform with the live stream offers you Q&A functions, 1:1 video chats with participants, exhibitors, and speakers, as well as live opinion surveys, your personal program overview, a virtual exhibition, and other useful functions.
Choose the live stream in the registration form at a price of EUR 995.00 plus VAT and experience the lectures from your office.
This event is primarily aimed at engineers and technicians in the industry or persons involved in research and teaching who are engaged in the optimization of the traditional development areas of the combustion engine or the advancement of procedures and systems to produce conventional or renewable fuels and lubricants. The lectures will be equally attractive for chemists and biologists who work in this industry. The focus will be on both diesel and spark-ignition engines (gasoline / gas) for passenger and commercial vehicles and off-highway applications.
